Per capire il reale valore degli studi bisognerebbe leggerli in originale, perché la validità di uno studio dipende a tante cose...dal livello della rivista su cui è pubblicato, dal livello dei suoi referee, da quanto è grande il campione di studio, quanti anni è durato lo studio, che statistiche sono state utilizzate. E ovviamente sarebbe anche utile sapere da chi è stato finanziato

Dr. Willits (nhwlabwald.ucdavis.edu) earned a Ph.D. in Statistics from Stanford University in 1981. He then served as a postdoctoral fellow at Stanford in environmental statistics, and he retains research interests in this area. He has served as a consultant in the Statistical Laboratory since 1986. He has twice received a special recognition award from the College of Letters and Science for the outstanding service he provides to the campus as a statistical consultant. He is well versed in a wide range of statistical methodologies and has co-authored over 90 publications with campus researchers. He has worked on many long-term and large-scale projects with external clients, most notably the California Water Resources Board and the State Departments of Toxic Substance Control and Fish and Game.
